Resolutions

2012 has begun and I feel that I need set new resolutions.

First, I’ve to build a schedule for my French Lessons, I can’t learn properly if I don’t have a good one.
The Meta: Get enough knowledge of French in June 2012. This’s a big one, because learning this language is veery veeeeeery difficult, though some friends say I’m a good apprentice and it will be easy for me yay!

So, that’s one of the first resolutions…

The other one: Safe money. Unfortunately I don’t have that “savings culture” and many of my debts are because of that, but I’ll do my best to get it. I don’t know how many money I’ll safe but I hope is lots!

Another one: Take good and relaxed vacations through the north coast of Colombia. I don’t know many places of my country and this will be a good option to meet some cities. There is a person who encouraged me to meet a little bit more…. he says I’d be a good traveller and I’m definitely sure that I will!!

Love: Is not included in my plans but I’d like to find love and be hugely happy. It’s quite cool be single, but sometimes you need somebody who loves you, cares you, and be with you every time.

Anyway, I have to be serious with this resolutions so I may be able to accomplish my goals settled in life..

Summarizing

I’ve stolen a very useful questionnaire where I can make a balance of the things that happened in my life during this year…

1. What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before? Yoga and Pilates. I’ve found a new way to get a balance between my body, mind and soul.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Not sure. I’ve learnt lots of new things but I know I’m a new person today.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Noup.

4. Did anyone close to you die? Not so close to me, closer to one of my best friends. Sad times..

5. What countries did you visit? On my mind counts?

6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011? Love, my so waited trip, new friends

7. What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? May 28: the day my best girlfriend’s mum passed away. That chilled and broke my heart.

December 25: The day a foreigner invited me to have a beer with and then lots of them join us. I felt part of a group.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Managing a new job position… a huge challenge.

9. What was your biggest failure? Failing to forget about the Br.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Yes.

11. What was the best thing you bought? A ticket for the best electro, house party ever.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? That time when I had to tell the truth to make justice prevails.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Some people who try to look so good in front of you, when he/she is totally opposite.

14. Where did most of your money go? Debts.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Meeting one of my best girlfriends after 10 years without seeing her.

16. What song will always remind you of 2011? I actually have got two songs: Paradise – Moving to Mars both by Coldplay

17. Compared to this time last year, are you: (a) happier or sadder? (b) thinner or fatter? (c) richer or poorer? I have to say I’m the same… thinner and happier but definitely richer.

20. How did you spend Christmas?

With my family and making happy my little nephew… We had dinner and spent a good time together.

21. Did you fall in love in 2011? Noup.

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? Noup.

24. What was the best book you read? “Vivir para Contarla” Gabriel García Márquez

25. What was your greatest musical discovery? Adele

26. What did you want and get? Pay a huuuge one debt.

27. What did you want and not get? I wanted to go to France, and meet the supposedly love of my life…

28. What was your favorite film of this year? Faster and Furious 5.

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? Work – eat .. 27

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Two things! Forget about the Br. and get my trip..

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011? Not so sure… maybe a completely mess.

32. What kept you sane? Reading.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Coldplay

34. What political issue stirred you the most? Hard to tell – in my country everything may happend.

35. Who did you miss? The Br.

36. Who was the best new person you met? Nico, and amazing quebecoise who had teached me lots of things and he’s keeping doing it.

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011. “let it go, If always was yours, it’ll come back…”

Classssssic

The best for inspiration? Classic Music.
I havent tried that before. I’ve discovered this music genre and it’s hallucinating… I’m not the best or the most experienced blog writer, but I’ve read the memories written by one of the Best writers of my country (Gabriel García Márquez) and he gives lots of advices about writing and one of them is do it while listening Classic Music.
I’ve started to listen to Claude Debussy, but I’m firmly seduced by Chopin, Bach, Vivaldi, Brahms, Bartók, Schönberg and some other that I dont remember their names… the thing is that I’ve found a beautiful and quiet way to get inspiration and it’s music… It’s all about sit down, and pay attention to every detail of the song and the words you need will come to you one after one..

Priorities

Today early morning I was hugely stressed. My insecurity and weakness take my mind completely for 5 or 10 minutes. I’m in a moment in my life where I don’t know where every step I give in this path lead me. Economics issues are not good at home… nothing is enough, every time I need to spend more and more… but that’s nothing new.

I’m on this situation because of me. No one than me is responsible for past decisions I have made in every subject: work, love, money, health – But past the minutes I got my will again and stopped bad thoughts… the first thing I thought was that I needed talk to a friend, someone who doesn’t know my family or my situation quite good, so he or she could give me a good advice and I got it! I talked to Nico.

Nico is an amazing person who I meet through the community website where I learn languages online. Casually, I needed to improve spoken French and he was there, we started to chat and he said he loves my country because he has a gf living in the North Coast.

So, he has become in a great and close friend to me. He has recommended me lots of good and healthy habits to my life like Reading and Yoga – the most important – to help me to forget old habits and shape my character which is very strong.

Anyway, I chatted to him and he gave me a good advice: I have to identify and write my priorities in life, what the hell I want, how I get it, when I want it and where I want it. When I finally identify all this I’ll look crystal clear and go for it. Without pressure, stress or concern. I’ve to stay calm and be very patient; things would come one at a time…

I replied I was very grateful for his advices and that I’ll try to improve them. Sometimes you have the solution to your doubts or concerns but you need that special friend who gives you a huge slap and awake you for God sake…

Well, x-mas is near. I hope Santa don’t shoot me and give me my usual gift as every year: A well gifted guy, incredibly interesting who is just with me for December holidays.
This is really ironic: Cinderella’s had a short night; I’ve had only a short month – The last three Decembers to be precise…
